First of all I want to tell you I enjoy your podcast a lot. I just wanted to tell you that in one of these episodes you said that society seems to accept the use of drugs like Ritalin or Modafinil to enhance their cognition. I think that that is cheating, plain and simple. I mean, if you really have an adhd diagnosis I can understand but if you don’t, that is cheating. Especially if you are using them to perform better in University/standardized exams and the outcome of those exams will land you a better job. The person who is using those drugs has an advantage compare with someone who is not and eventually forces the rest of their peers to start using them to be able to compete. This should regulated and banned, the same as it is in sports. Thanks

Hey Esteban,
Thanks for your comment! I actually completely agree with you. I have ADHD myself and have to take medication to function normally.
When people without mental disorders take these medications to get a leg up, it makes me kind of angry because I have to take them to function on a normal level, then it’s absolutely cheating. If everyone started taking amphetamines/etc, then people like me would still be functioning at a substandard level even with the medication.
